Magic

The Shattering of light magic at Gialdanis split the magic into its separate colors.  Those former light mages who survived the Shattering founded the Orders of color magic to teach the use of these new forms of magic and to ensure that the abuses that caused the Shattering never occurred again.


The Structure of the Orders:

• Scion (SIGH-on)
• The head of an Order is called a Scion, because he or she inherits the responsibility of guarding his or her Order.
• Brother/Sister
• Members of the Orders that have taken vows are referred to either Brothers or Sisters to remind them that they are not better than the ungifted whom they use their gifts serve.
• Seeker
• Trainees in the Orders are called seekers, because they come to seek the knowledge to control their gifts.
